The great admirer “Ilayaraja”

Music plays a major role in everyoneโ€™s life. If you have a music taste even a child crying will be heard as heavenly music. There are more than trillions of music we would like to hum or sing with lyrics when we are totally cool. What about โ€œIsaignaniโ€?

He is a legend whose song is loved by all the generations from 1975 to date. You would be amazed to know that the person who was born in 1945 and started a career as a musician in 1975 is continuing with the same effort and passion. This legend has worked with several directors, lyricists, artists, and actors.”Isaignani” Ilaiyaraja has composed more than 7000 songs, and he was a musician for over 1000 movies. He also performed more than 20000 concerts. The Indian Maestro has been using his old harmonium from the start of his career to date. One of the world-renowned Indian music composers who is often attributed to the introduction of Western musical sensibilities into the great musical trend of Tamil film.

Though I am a fan of him my husband is a sincere fan of Ilaiyaraja who listens only to his song whenever he feels low, overloaded, or frustrated. It gives a feel to us like we are flying somewhere without any commitments or challenges to face in life. Some of his best songs can never be ignored.

Kanmani Anbodu Kaadhalan” from the film ‘Guna’ clearly shows the deep love of a man whose gaze is not equivalent to the girl he loves. The song starts as a letter-writing and then takes a path to paradise of beautiful music. Kamal, who gave life to this music expresses his love through words and a heroine starts to write it in the form of a letter. The second one which I love the most is “Mandram Vandha thendralukku” from the Mouna Raagam movie. With the music of Maestro the legendary SPB, the voice of the gentleman makes it more amiable. Take a pause from your hectic schedule and watch this heart-melting song here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KG-9cTt8id8. The hidden hard feelings between a newlywed were expressed through the music in the best possible way.

I would become invisible while listening to this song which explicitly proves that it is the best. It is none other than the song “Nalam vaala ennaalum en vaazhthukkal” from the film Marubadiyum. A simple birthday song by an actor who wants the respective person to be cheerful and overcome the difficulties she is going through. Can’t wait to listen to this amazing melody know?? Why wait??
